FUZZ-ETTE

Signature fuzz pedal for Flavia Couri, frontwoman of The Courettes, based on the vintage 1960's Shin-Ei FY6 Superfuzz pedal. Limited edition of 30 handmade, numbered pedals

Revealed on the International Women’s Day, March 8th 2026, this is the first artist signature pedal, I am doing for a female guitar palyer – which is definitely about time!

Like the Reuss Goo Goo Fuzz, the FUZZ-ETTE the based on the vintage 1960s Shin-Ei FY6 Superfuzz pedal. For Flavia’s version, my electronics engineering partner have designed a modified version of this classic circuit, where the two extreme tone-presets of the original design can be mixed freely for much extended tonal possibilities.

There are many schematics floating around the internet with solutions for replacing the two tone presets of the FY6 circuit for a tone control, and all are compromising the original sounds, but not ours. The two extreme tones are both there, and we designed the tone control as a signal mixer to mix them. You are getting the pure, original tones at each end of the knob’s rotation, plus the ability to mix them to taste.

On Flavia Couri's request, we added a switch inside the FUZZ-ETTE to extend the bass response of the original FY6 circuit, because The Courettes don’t have a bass player, and she's covering the lows with her guitar.

The FUZZ-ETTE comes as a limited edition of 30 individually numbered, handmade pedals.

We are still tweaking the prototype, and preorders opens as soon as we are assembling the pedals. Probably in May 2026. By that time, we should also have a demo video ready. Watch this place!
